This striking vintage bronze vessel is a beautiful example of Chinese archaistic metalwork. Crafted from bronze with a rich, aged patina and gold inlay (gilt) decoration, it features a classic "Gu" form with a flared mouth, a bulbous mid-section, and a flared foot.
The body is decorated with intricate gold-inlaid scrollwork and stylized characters. It is a substantial piece, weighing approximately 900 grams, making it a perfect decorative accent for a scholar's desk, bookshelf, or curio cabinet.
