Original Oil on Canvas, with original artist designed gilt frame, to include a linen liner and significant curved detailing.

Artist lower left signed by Felix Felmart (Spain, b. 1933).

Visible image: approx. 15 1/2" x 11 11 1/2". Frame: approx. 22" x 18".

Amazing shades of blue, from Tiffany to Royal. White flowers with bursts of red and yellow, with an incredible portrayal of the clear glass pitcher - it just floats in space while the colors swirl around it. Fabulous!

Frame shows a couple of areas of typical wear to the gilt finish - which actually dates the piece appropriately with a welcome pedigree or authenticity.

In keeping with Aesop's fable, Fox and Crow's Motto is "Beware of False Flattery!" So, with each listing we offer a true confession about the item...

This is a truly wonderful painting!

The colors, the texture, the pure - and elegant - mid-century aesthetic...it's a winner.

We bought this painting for the simple image and the bold color way. And we hung it in a media room that enjoys nice light throughout the day.

Over time, we discovered far more in this piece...there is a subtle depth to it, the elegant framing of the glass pitcher, the detailing of the flowers - they are somehow both abstract and detailed all at once - and the perfect dimension of the frame to the image. Even the patina on the gilt is right, telling the viewer it is indeed old and authentic while still vibrant.
