Handcrafted in Morocco around the mid-20th century, the table reflects the enduring influence of traditional Islamic geometric design, combining intricate patterns with stylized floral ornament and the vibrant colors associated with Moroccan decorative arts.
The elaborately painted surface features a striking interplay of saturated hues and intricate motifs, creating a harmonious composition that emphasizes the distinctive geometry of the star-shaped top. The sculptural base complements the angular form above, giving the table a strong architectural presence while showcasing the artistry of traditional Moroccan craftsmanship. Its richly decorated surfaces and expressive palette lend the piece a distinctive folk-art character.
Measuring approximately 21 inches high and 22 inches in diameter, this charming occasional table is well suited to a living room, sitting area, or entryway, where it can serve as a decorative side table or an artistic focal point.
