Depicting Apollo, the god of light, music, and the arts, the bust reflects the enduring influence of Greco-Roman antiquity on European decorative arts of the period.

Executed in plaster and finished with a lovely faux bronze verdigris patina, the sculpture was designed to convincingly evoke the presence of cast bronze while remaining lighter and more decorative in nature. The surface shows subtle tonal variation and depth, enhancing the sculptural modeling and giving the piece a warm, time-softened appearance that works beautifully in both traditional and contemporary interiors. The bust is mounted on a solid cream colored marble base. Unsigned. See less
