Beech, Daisies in a Vase, Watercolour, circa 1960s Material: Watercolour on Paper, Silver-Tone Frame, Glass A charming mid-20th-century watercolour by artist M. Beech, depicting a delicate arrangement of daisies presented in a vase. Dating from circa the 1960s, the composition is finely executed with a subtle and harmonious use of colour. The flowers are rendered with careful attention to detail, capturing the freshness and delicacy of the individual blooms while retaining the fluid character of the watercolour medium. The restrained palette and intricate treatment of the floral subject create an elegant and highly decorative still life, with a pleasing balance between naturalistic observation and expressive handling. The watercolour is presented beneath glass with a museum mount and a more recent silver-tone frame. The frame displays some minor distressing. Presented in good vintage condition, with appropriate signs of age consistent with its date and medium. The frame is slightly distressed.
