Here, the warm tone and vibrant grain of the teak meets lighter edges and legs in oak, a careful combination of materials that gives the table both character and fine contrasts.

the tabletop's softly rounded contour is framed by a clear oak edge, while the slender, tapered legs give a light and elegant expression. The frame is placed a bit under the tabletop, which provides extra space closest to the edge and makes it easier for armchairs to be pushed under the table. A well-thought-out detail that makes the table easy to combine with different types of dining chairs.

the oval shape is pleasing to the eye and creates an inviting place to gather around. The rounded ends also make it easier to pass the table, and with a width of 88 cm, it fits nicely even in a smaller dining room or kitchen.

two extension leaves of 50 cm each allow the table to grow with the company. The extension leaves have the same oak edge as the table top, so the cohesive expression continues even when the table is fully extended. From everyday breakfast and dinner to long evenings with family and friends, it extends from 144 to a full 244 cm. With both leaves in place, there is room for up to ten people, depending on the width of the chairs.

bertil fridhagen's sense of material, proportions and practical function is beautifully expressed here. A swedish dining table from 1960 that combines a timeless design with the flexibility needed in a home where both everyday life and parties can be accommodated.

the underside is branded with bodafors, design b fridhagen and made in sweden 1960. A table that will be 66 years old in 2026 and is still in very good shape. The legs can be dismantled for easier transport.
