This fruitwood side table, with its warm patina, rests on three slender, cabriole legs inspired by the Louis XV style, terminating in discreet sabots. Its scalloped apron conceals a superb feature: a removable writing tray operated by its original bronze pull ring. This tray is entirely covered in period tan leather, embellished around its edge with a delicate geometric frieze and gilt corner finials.

Authenticity guaranteed: The table bears the famous and sought-after circular hot-stamped salamander mark beneath its top, the signature inseparable from this brilliant cabinetmaker, renowned for creating the most perfect illusions of 18th-century furniture.

Very good overall condition. The tabletop has slightly warped over time, revealing a gap between it and the back of the piece.
