Pair of antique fine earthenware plates from the renowned Bacalan factory in Bordeaux, produced under the direction of David Johnston. Thanks to the stamps on the back, they are precisely dated between 1834 and 1845 (Louis-Philippe period).
They feature a sepia-toned brown transfer decor in a romantic style, surrounded by a wide border reminiscent of lace and drapery.
