Model: h-269
conceived in the spirit of interwar art deco, this exceptionally iconic and dynamically shaped pair of armchairs representing the renowned model h-269 armchairs from the 1930s in czechoslovakia bears the unmistakable authorial signature of the prominent czechoslovak designer jindřich halabala in production for the renowned up works. The artistic and structural concept relies on modernist principles of optical lightness, streamline dynamics, and masterly craftsmanship of solid beech wood. The architectural framework of the armchairs is built upon famous, smoothly bent side bases forming a unified shape with the armrests and the dynamically curved rear support. The outstanding aesthetic appeal is accentuated by new professional upholstery in a contrasting geometric pattern, giving the entire ensemble a timeless, highly sophisticated expression and maximum user comfort.
both items have undergone a complete, highly professional, and sensitive restoration process, including thorough professional cleaning, the revitalization of the polish on the wooden parts, and the execution of new professional upholstery. Expert restorers have thus successfully restored one hundred percent structural integrity and maximum visual impact while strictly preserving the objects' authentic historical patina and exceptional collector value.
thanks to their renowned czechoslovak origin, the timeless design of jindřich halabala, and top-tier execution, this pair of armchairs stands out as an excellent element for interiors emphasizing top-tier design. They perfectly enhance representative living spaces, luxury offices, or serve as a striking suite in an architecturally demanding environment.
