Produced by the Marbro Lamp Company in the 1950s, these towering bronze lamps are striking interpretations of an ancient three-footed archaistic ritual vessel (such as a Nao or Gu) from China's Shang or Zhou dynasties. They feature detailed geometric key frets and a patinated finish set upon circular dark wooden bases. The bases were brought back down to a raw finish and re-lacquered. Pictured is the original Marbro electrical hardware with exaggerated neck. When restoring Marbo lamps for modern installation, we always convert this dated setup to a standard harp & saddle with a 3-Way socket. This makes the shading process much easier and much more flexible.
The physical lamps are in excellent shape and they have been re-wired to be electrically new. The height listed is to the top of the socket.
