Condition: Open Box in excellent condition. The piece has been carefully inspected and presents beautifully. As with any open box item, very minor signs of handling, transportation, or storage may be present upon close inspection. The character of the reclaimed timber itself, including knots, nicks, nail holes, wood patches and fine cracks in the planks, is inherent to the Drifted Reclaimed Oak design and is present by intention; it is part of what makes each piece one of a kind rather than a condition issue.

DESCRIPTION
Designed and made by Nils Verhoeven, the Drifted Reclaimed Oak collection is handcrafted from oak timbers reclaimed from decades-old buildings in Europe. The closed nightstand holds a simple, linear form: two drawers set within a frame, built from rough-hewn planks and beams that keep the depth and weathering of the salvaged wood in view. It is a quiet, architectural piece, with the character carried entirely by the timber itself.

The planks are carefully hand-selected, planed and sanded, then wire brushed for a richly textured finish. The marks of the wood's first life are kept rather than corrected: nicks, nail holes, wood patches and exposed knots appear across the surfaces, the planks may sit slightly uneven, and fine cracks are present in the timber. No two nightstands are exactly alike.

In Drifted Brown Oak, the finish is a deep, warm brown settled into the wire-brushed grain. The two drawers are English-dovetailed, with fully finished interiors and soft-close glides, and the back of the nightstand carries a complementary finish. At 32 inches wide and 98 pounds, it is generously scaled beside a king or queen bed and substantial enough to work as a small chest in a living space.

MATERIALS & CONSTRUCTION
Handcrafted of reclaimed European oak timbers salvaged from decades-old buildings. Rough-hewn planks and beams are hand-selected for character, then planed and sanded before construction. The oak is wire brushed to deepen the texture and bring out the grain. Drawers are English-dovetailed with soft-close glides, and the drawer interiors are fully finished. By their nature, reclaimed planks may be somewhat uneven and may cup or bow slightly over time, and cracks will be present; this is the material's provenance, not a defect.

FINISH
Drifted Brown Oak. A deep, warm brown over wire-brushed reclaimed oak. Because each plank is salvaged timber, the tone shifts subtly from board to board, moving between medium and dark brown with the grain, knots and weathering of the individual piece of wood.
