Each exceptional pier or trumeau mirror is defined by an elegant, column-like entre-deux silhouette typical of mid-19th century Scandinavian neoclassical design. The upper frieze panel features a finely carved and gilded classical urn draped in flowing swags, set against a beautifully weathered, pale cream painted ground. The narrow mirror frame houses the original two-part glass plates, divided horizontally by a classic thin wooden mullion. Topped with a minimalist cornice molding and grounded by an unadorned baseline, this stately pair beautifully balances structural restraint with refined Gustavian-influenced ornamentation.
Mount them symmetrically on either side of a grand fireplace, a central doorway, a headboard or a large picture window.

We make every reasonable effort to note significant conditions—such as damage, repairs, losses, or areas that may require or benefit from restoration—but the absence of a specific notation does not imply perfect or like-new conditions. Buyers are strongly encouraged to request a detailed condition report, additional photographs, or clarification prior to purchase, especially when upholstery or other condition-sensitive elements are involved. By completing a transaction, the buyer acknowledges that all items are sold with the condition variations inherent to antique and vintage merchandise. less
