This vintage decorative sculpture is crafted from copper and takes the form of a traditional dragon boat. The piece is designed to symbolize wealth and prosperity, featuring a raised, coin-covered deck with a central gold ingot (yuanbao) resting on top.
The dragon boat features a detailed dragon head at one end with prominent horns, an open mouth, and flowing whiskers, and a stylized, sweeping tail at the other. The hull of the boat is intricately textured with overlapping scales. The entire piece has a heavily gilded finish that shows significant wear, revealing a deep, aged bronze tone beneath. Notably, the recessed areas of the scales and the surface are accented with remnants of vibrant red paint or lacquer, giving the piece a distinct, rustic antique appearance.
The underside of the base bears an embossed, four-character seal mark reading "乾隆年製" (Made in the Qianlong Reign).

It exhibits significant patina and wear to the gilding, which is intentional to the antique aesthetic. The red paint accents are faded and chipped in areas, particularly on the scales and the coin deck, consistent with age and handling. The metal shows some darkening and oxidation. There are no major structural cracks or breaks. Please refer to the photos for a detailed view of the condition. less
