The figure is depicted seated in a relaxed, commanding pose upon a double-lotus base. He has a joyful, gilded face with a broad smile and a bald head with a small mark. His chest and large, exposed belly are also gilded, contrasting with his flowing robes, which are painted in deep blue and red with silver-toned trim. He holds a ruyi scepter in his right hand, while his left hand grasps a large, beaded silver-toned mala (prayer beads) that rests on his knee. The double-lotus base is painted in vibrant red and silver tones. The sculpture is extensively gilded and painted, retaining a warm gold luster with a natural, aged patina.
