Young women in gilt bronze sit on the shoulders of the granite vases to form the handles, their backs bent slightly forward under the weight of the garlands they are wearing on their shoulders. Their legs transform into intertwining foliage. Friezes of lambrequin and beads decorate the paunch. Small, gilt bronze beads adorn the foot, which is supported by a square base chiseled with flowers and ribbing, circa 1850. Dimensions: w 10.2 in, d 7.9in, h 20.5in.
