A dramatic, large-scale Italian glazed ceramic apple basket centerpiece. Made in Italy for Nordstrom, this impressive piece features a overflowing basket piled high with glossy, hand-painted red apples nestled among rich green ceramic foliage.
The low-profile oval basket is sculpted to mimic woven rattan/reed texture in earthy, honey-wheat tones, finished with a rope-twist ceramic trim around the base. The large apples are finished in deep crimson brushstrokes with subtle warm yellow undertones and dark stem details, giving them an exceptionally lifelike, sculptural presence. Generously scaled at 19 inches long, it serves as an instant statement piece for a dining table, kitchen island, sideboard, or entry console.
