Serving as the second installment of four original works created for the National Audubon Society's Sesquicentennial Collection of American Bird Engravings, this masterful illustration captures two vivid blue jays amidst highly detailed, fiery autumn maple foliage. The piece features a distinct, handwritten artist signature and date (1976) in the lower right margin. It comes beautifully presented in a classic wood and gilt frame with clean matting. A fantastic statement piece for collectors of fine wildlife art or traditional Audubon-style portraiture. The height of this lithograph is 30 1/2 inches tall by 1 inch deep and 24 1/2 wide. I was able to obtain this and "The Cardinal" at the same time at an antique store in Portland, OR. See less
