The Worm Moon is March’s full moon, getting its name from the first sightings of worms in spring and the general idea that the earth is waking up.

I scout these moonrises in person, then work from memory and reference back in the studio to capture the color and mood of that particular night. This is my favorite way to see the moon- surrounded by dramatic clouds.

About my work:
I'm a visual artist with a BFA from Laguna College of Art & Design, where I majored in drawing and painting, working primarily from life and the nude figure. My work is inspired by nature, my everyday surroundings, and a collection of old photographs. I show in galleries and exhibitions in addition to selling directly from my studio.
