A splendid and authentic pair of Italian-made nightstands from the 1950s, in true Midcentury Modern style. The pieces feature an elegant, period-typical line, characterized by a wooden frame with exposed vertical grain and a lower double-door compartment, enhanced by distinctive brass ring handles.
The upper section includes a refined, suspended, shaped glass shelf and a lower shelf covered in a light-colored marble/onyx-effect material. The characteristic angled compass legs end with classic protective brass caps.
Condition
• Glass: In perfect condition, completely intact, with no chips, cracks, or deep scratches.
• Wooden frame: Original condition with visible signs of aging and vintage wear (small nicks in the finish and natural variations in the color of the wood). This surface patina attests to its authenticity and age, but the overall structure is solid and stable. The brass feet show their original oxidation.
