This exceptional Victorian-era composite kerosene stand lamp features a vibrant emerald green pressed glass font with stylized teardrop/palmette embossing, mounted atop a clear fluted pedestal stem and an elaborate circular foot. The pressed clear base is decorated with intricate scrolling scrollwork, relief beadwork, and six-pointed stars within raised circular medallions.
The lamp retains its original threaded brass collar embossed around the top rim with patent dates: "PATENTED SEP 20 1892 AND DEC 4 1893". It comes fitted with a period-correct brass Queen Anne No. 1 burner featuring a functional wick wheel embossed "SCOVILL MFG. CO. WATERBURY CONN USA", alongside a clear glass chimney with a delicate pie-crust scalloped top rim.
Historical & Design Significance
Representing late Industrial-Era American glassmaking, this composite stand lamp illustrates the Victorian transition toward bi-color decorative hearth accessories. The contrast between the rich emerald green reservoir and the architectural clarity of the star-and-scroll pedestal base makes it a standout example of late-19th-century functional art.

This 1890s emerald glass stand lamp brings vibrant color, historical authenticity, and textural geometry to upscale residential interiors. Perfect as a accent piece on a bookshelf, mantel, or entry console, it adds a warm antique focal point to traditional, eclectic, or Victorian revival spaces.

Authenticity Assessment
This piece is an authentic late-19th-century Victorian kerosene lamp. The threaded brass collar exhibits period-correct rolled-edge construction with sharply stamped patent dates (PATENTED SEP 20 1892 AND DEC 4 1893). Inspection of the interior font neck confirms an original mold-blown aperture designed specifically for this plaster-set collar rather than a modern drilled retrofit. The two-part pressed glass structure (green font fused to clear pedestal base) displays authentic mold seam alignments, natural straw marks (shear lines), and micro-bubbles consistent with turn-of-the-century glass production. The Scovill Mfg. Co. burner wheel features raised block lettering with crisp knurling typical of pre-1910 brass manufacturing.
