An extraordinary piece of American industrial history, this original antique brass cash register was manufactured by the National Cash Register Company (NCR) in Dayton, Ohio. Featuring the highly coveted "Amount Purchased" ornate top sign (toppper), this register showcases elaborate ornate Renaissance Revival relief scrollwork across its heavy brass casting.
The front panel features five rows of original key caps (denominations, clerk letters, and special transaction keys), the iconic pointing hand display indicator window ("Dollars / Cents"), a side hand-crank, a side receipt tape attachment, and a wooden base drawer bearing the cast-brass "National" logo script.
