This is a finely crafted gilt bronze sculpture of White Tara, a revered female Bodhisattva in Tibetan Buddhism associated with compassion, longevity, and healing. The figure is seated in the lotus position (padmasana) upon a double-lotus base, holding the stems of two lotuses that blossom at her shoulders. She has a beautifully painted face with delicate features, downcast eyes, and a serene expression, framed by a jeweled crown and a large, intricate mandorla (aureole) behind her head. Her body is adorned with a beaded necklace and flowing robes featuring engraved floral and scroll patterns, accented with turquoise and red stone inlays. The sculpture is extensively gilded, retaining a bright, warm gold luster with a rich, aged patina in the recesses. The base bears a decorative double-vajra symbol on the underside.
