This is a finely crafted antique gilt bronze sculpture of Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva, a revered figure in Tibetan Buddhism. The deity is seated in the lotus position (padmasana) upon a double-lotus base. The figure features a serene, gilded face and a complex, ornate crown adorned with silver-toned details and gemstone-like inlays. The body is richly decorated with intricate silver-toned jewelry, armbands, and flowing robes featuring elaborate, embossed patterns and a cross-hatched textile design on the lower skirt. In the right hand, the figure holds a flaming jewel (cintamani), while the left hand rests in the lap holding a small vessel. The sculpture is extensively gilded, retaining a bright, warm gold luster with a natural, aged patina in the recesses, and the base shows a dark, textured finish with a flat bottom.
