Original 1852 N. Currier "Quail Shooting" Hand-Colored Lithograph by Fanny Palmer - Nice Margins
An exceptionally rare and authenticated 19th-century American sporting print, this 1852 hand-colored stone lithograph is titled "Quail Shooting. Setters the Property of S. Palmer, Esq. Brooklyn, L.I."
Masterfully drawn directly onto the lithographic stone by renowned artist Frances Flora (Fanny) Palmer, this piece was published by Nathaniel Currier at his historic 152 Nassau Street, New York workshop prior to his partnership with Ives. The scenery captures an authentic mid-19th-century hunting excursion on Long Island. Framed in a period accurate frame with age appropriate wear.

**Condition Details:**
This print boasts an ideal preservation profile for the discerning collector:
• Nearly un-trimmed margins with almost a full inch of margin on all sides.
• The paper is structurally excellent, flat, and completely unmounted (never glued or adhered to a backing board).
• Free of structural rippling, tears, or repairs.
• Displays beautiful, honest antique character with minor, expected acid-toning isolated primarily near the outer framing edges. One water stain in upper right corner which does not impinge upon the main image, only the sky.
