This is a substantial antique polychrome bronze sculpture depicting a God of Wealth, a revered deity in traditional Asian culture associated with prosperity and good fortune. The figure is seated in a commanding pose, holding a large, ornate treasure pot overflowing with coins, ingots, and pearls. He is flanked by two young attendants, each holding a gold ingot. The deity wears elaborate, brightly painted robes in deep red, with gilt and silver-toned armor detailing, and a heavily decorated crown. The entire group rests upon an elaborate base formed from a mound of silver-toned ingots and coins.
