A lidded urn, a bowl on a low table and a tall vase sit among scrolling blossoms, all carved in relief and finished in red with gold highlights. We read it as Chinese, likely Late Qing.

Bogu panels were a way of showing taste and scholarship through objects, and they translate well to a modern wall. At 17 inches wide and 13 inches high framed, it hangs well over a sideboard, a desk or a bench in an entry. The gilt shadow box frame sets it off from the natural grasscloth behind.
