The expansive rectangular top showcases the remarkable figuring Brazilian rosewood is known for, with deep reddish-brown tones, dark streaks, and beautifully flowing grain that immediately sets the table apart.

The design is remarkably refined. A recessed detail running beneath the tabletop wraps continuously around the sides, creating a subtle floating effect while adding depth to the otherwise clean-lined silhouette. Four tapered legs give the table a light, elegant stance. It has been professionally refinished to revive the richness, depth, and natural grain of the rosewood, bringing it closer to its original appearance.

Functionality is equally well considered. Two 19.5-inch extension leaves allow the table to expand to 103.75 inches, with the option of using either one or both. When not needed, the leaves conveniently store beneath the main tabletop. Particularly impressive is the attention given to the rosewood selection, the extensions complement the direction and movement of the main top's grain, creating a beautifully cohesive surface when fully expanded.

With its exceptional Brazilian rosewood, thoughtful expandable construction, and precise Scandinavian craftsmanship, this table exemplifies the quality that makes Johannes Andersen's Danish furniture so highly regarded.
