An unsigned oil on board landscape painting in an Impressionist style, described by the seller as circa 1930 and in the style of Theodore Houston and the New Hope School. The painting depicts a grassy bank overlooking still water, with trees framing a distant shoreline beneath a clouded sky. Visible brushwork and areas of raised paint give the foliage and foreground texture. The composition is presented in a gold-toned frame with a fabric-covered inner border. A Winsor & Newton sketching board label is visible on the reverse; it identifies a board product but does not establish the artist or date of the painting. No signature is visible in the supplied photographs. The Theodore Houston and New Hope School references are stylistic descriptions, not an attribution to the artist or school.
