These smaller-sized antique consoles from Italy, each features a classic half-moon shaped top above a finely carved apron embellished with a continuous band of repeating decorative trim. The bases are particularly striking, resting on three gracefully shaped, lyre style supports with pronounced scroll feet. The legs feature elegant serpentine curves that lend a sense of movement and lightness, while decorative carved details at the knees add visual interest. Softly arched stretchers connect the legs, enhancing both stability and design, creating an appealing silhouette from every angle. The rich walnut-toned finish highlights the natural beauty of the wood and showcases the patina that can only be achieved through age and use. The tables exhibit expected wear including minor surface scratches, small losses, and other light imperfections associated with antique furniture. This pair of 19th century Italian demi lunes, with their delightful 32.5" width scale, makes them exceptionally versatile - perfect for a matching pair flanking a doorway, fireplace, as elegant bedside tables, or as compact consoles in an entry hall beneath mirrors or artwork.
