This antique table from Italy has great scale and architectural presence, measuring an exceptional 74.75 inches wide, or more than six feet in length. This striking piece reflects the enduring influence of classical Italian design, featuring a faux-marbled top above a long, streamlined frieze, and supported on bold scrolling volute supports that terminate in block feet. The console retains its original painted finish on the base, with a softly weathered palette in antique cream, warm limestone beige, pale sand, ivory, and subtle taupe tones. It is complemented with a new custom faux marble-painted top, skillfully created to emulate the appearance of aged stone. Please note that a professional installation is strongly recommended. The console should be securely attached to wall studs or appropriate structural supports by a qualified contractor to ensure long-term stability and safety. This early 20th century Italian table would make an exceptional dramatic focal point in a large foyer beneath a monumental mirror or artwork, in a dining room as a decorative serving console, or in a living room displaying sculpture, ceramics, or collected objects. Its generous length and architectural form also make it an ideal choice for anchoring a grand hallway, where it can provide both visual presence and elegant display space. See less
