The photographs capture Totò in two engaging public appearances connected to the world of Italian cycling. The first depicts the actor smiling alongside champion cyclist Fausto Coppi, surrounded by riders and admirers, while the second shows Totò conversing with renowned cyclists, including members of the Legnano-Pirelli and Benotto teams, in a lively gathering that reflects the close relationship between post-war Italian popular culture and professional sport. Rich in period atmosphere, the photographs document an unusual intersection between two of Italy's greatest national passions: cinema and cycling. The versos are largely blank, retaining only handwritten editorial annotations, inventory references, and crop indications from their original use within a press archive. Overall very good vintage condition with light handling wear, minor edge and corner wear, and occasional surface marks consistent with editorial archive use. Strong tonal range and pleasing contrast throughout. See less
