This antique table from France features a half-moon shaped white marble top enclosed by a pierced brass gallery with open front lip. The demi-lune form has a rounded apron with a central drawer flanked by paneled sections, lending both function and refined neoclassical character. It is supported by four slender, round fluted legs terminating in brass-capped feet and supported by a curved lower shelf with concave front design. There is a newer custom finish in a soft grey. Marble top exhibits scattered staining and age-related discoloration, and the brass gallery shows some slight bending consistent with age and use. This 19th century French table, just shy of 3 feet in width, would be ideal as a small foyer accent, or a decorative piece in a living room or hallway. The lower shelf provides display space for books or baskets, while the drawer offers convenient storage for keys, stationery, or small personal items. Its compact footprint and elegant demi-lune form make it especially suitable for smaller spaces where classic French style is desired. See less
