This handmade antique Persian Kazvin rug from the 1920s displays the refined artistry and balanced floral geometry for which the region is celebrated. Woven in soft, resilient wool, the rug features a rich red field adorned with intricate botanical and curvilinear motifs in navy, pink, ivory, and green. A symmetrical central medallion anchors the composition, surrounded by finely detailed borders that enhance the sense of depth and movement.

The palette is warm and inviting, with the natural dyes retaining impressive vibrancy for its age. Some areas of low pile are present, consistent with a well-preserved antique textile, yet the rug remains in good condition overall. Its proportions make it versatile for living rooms, bedrooms, studies, or as a statement accent in a contemporary interior.

This Kazvin rug is a graceful example of early 20th-century Persian craftsmanship, offering both decorative richness and historical character.
