Vintage Italian Peyo Smurfette 23K Gold Leaf Framed Miniatures, Set of 10**
A wonderfully playful and unusual set of 10 vintage framed Smurfette artworks, each depicting Peyo’s iconic Smurfette roller-skating against a shimmering gold background.
The miniature artworks are presented in coordinating pearlescent pink frames with deep dark mounts, creating a striking contrast with the vibrant blue, white, red and gold imagery. Each image carries the © Peyo mark.
Eight of the ten pieces retain their original Italian certificates of guarantee, stating:
“Creazione Artistica Realizzata Su Foglia Oro 23 k.ti”
— confirming the artwork was created on 23-karat gold leaf. The remaining two matching framed pieces do not retain their certificates, although they are visually identical to the certified examples.
Made in Italy, these charming decorative pieces combine collectible Peyo imagery with traditional Italian gold-leaf decoration. Displayed together, the set creates a wonderfully colourful and nostalgic gallery wall and would work particularly well in a playful postmodern, eclectic or maximalist interior.
