Open blossoms, upright buds, and trailing stems give the bouquet an informal shape, with deep green leaves providing contrast throughout. A rounded vase anchors the arrangement on a tabletop, where a few fallen petals carry the color into the foreground.

Signed “Cox” at the lower left, the painting has a loose, expressive treatment. Broad strokes describe the curled petals, while darker passages between the flowers give the bouquet depth. The contrast between the lively flowers and the quieter background keeps the composition focused without making it feel overly formal.

The substantial frame is an integral part of the presentation. Gold-toned molding surrounds a wide dark green liner, with black accents adding definition along the outer border. Its layered profile echoes the painting’s combination of warm highlights and deep shadows.

Measuring 13 inches wide by 15 inches high overall, this is a compact piece with enough color and framing detail to stand on its own. It would also sit comfortably within a collected gallery wall, particularly alongside landscapes, botanical subjects, or small portraits. The warm palette complements natural wood furniture, brass accessories, and traditional or eclectic interiors.
