Displaying a striking, monumental design rooted in traditional Asian art forms. Each lamp features a heavy, baluster-shaped etched brass vase body reminiscent of an ancient Chinese bronze tea caddy pagoda temple urn or jar, mounted onto a tiered, dark-finished wooden base. The faces of the brass urns are decorated with finely detailed, incised narrative medallions, one depicting serene landscape genre scenes with stylized figures, mountains, and livestock and the other symmetrical floral rosette medallion. Adding architectural flair, the upper shoulders are flanked by open-work Asian fretwork or Greek key decorative handles. Each lamp is topped with an off-white silk-blend bell shade secured by a custom, geometric brass Asian fretwork finial, making this duo an exceptional statement piece for a Hollywood Regency living room, upscale buffet, or master bedroom suite.
