The Buddha is depicted seated in the traditional lotus position (padmasana) with his hands resting in his lap in the dhyana mudra (meditation gesture), holding a small vessel. The figure features a serene expression, elongated ears, and a prominent ushnisha (cranial bump) finished with deep blue pigment, with a red mark between the eyebrows. The robe is rendered with an intricate, brocade-like pattern in high relief and is adorned with numerous small, inset stone cabochons in turquoise and red. The figure rests upon a detailed, double-lotus base. The reverse side features a continuation of the robe's patterned design. The bronze is heavily gilded, retaining a bright, warm gold luster. The base bears a cast vajra mark.
