This is a finely carved antique rosewood tobacco pipe, featuring a bold, deep-relief dragon motif. The bowl is shaped into a dragon's head with a fierce expression, prominent round eyes, and stylized flowing mane details. The long, gracefully curved stem is also carved with a continuation of the scaled body and flame-like patterns that wrap around the form. The pipe is crafted from dense, richly grained wood, displaying a warm, amber-brown patina with a smooth, polished finish that highlights the natural luster of the material. The deep carving leaves darker patina in the recesses, emphasizing the dramatic, high-relief design. This is a striking example of traditional woodcarving and tobacciana.
