The piece is designed in two sections: the upper portion is a mountainous, conical form with a dragon coiling around it, its head raised and jaws open to hold the incense cone. The dragon features detailed scales and a textured mane, with a rich green patina on its body contrasting with the dark bronze base. The lower section is a separate, bowl-shaped base adorned with swirling cloud and wave motifs, also accented with gilt highlights. When a backflow incense cone is lit, smoke cascades down through the internal channels, creating a waterfall effect. The bronze exhibits a deep, aged patina with scattered gold gilding and areas of green oxidation, giving it a rich, historical character.
