The figure is depicted crouched atop a tall, rectangular plinth, with its head lowered and jaws slightly open, as if guarding the base. The beast features a scaled, muscular body with detailed claws and a flame-like mane. The plinth is richly decorated in high relief: the upper section features swirling, cloud-like scroll motifs, while the lower section is adorned with stylized wave patterns surrounding a central, radiating motif. The underside of the base bears a red-painted, square seal mark with characters. The bronze retains much of its original gold gilding, which has aged into a rich, mottled patina with reddish-brown undertones and dark oxidation in the recesses.
