The animal is depicted in a powerful, standing pose with its head slightly lowered, featuring a pronounced snout, curved tusks, and alert ears. Its muscular body is detailed with deep ridges along the flanks and a ridged mane running down its spine. The piece retains traces of its original gold gilding, which has aged into a mottled patina with reddish-brown undertones and dark oxidation in the recesses. The underside reveals the hollow casting typical of traditional metalwork. A fine example of animalier bronze sculpture, ideal for a collector of Asian antiques or decorative objects.
