Vintage side or accent table in the Louis XV style with a marquetry inlaid veneer top and a hand-carved base.
The scalloped top features a bookmatched chevron veneer pattern framed by inlaid floral scrolls and is finished with a molded edge. Below, the apron is carved with a central shell and scrolling foliage, and four cabriole legs with pierced acanthus carving end in scrolled feet. A shaped X-stretcher with a carved rosette at the center completes the base.
With its graceful 29-inch height, this piece works beautifully as a lamp table beside a sofa or chair, an entryway accent, or a bedside table. It pairs well with traditional, Parisian-inspired, and curated vintage interiors.
Good vintage condition with only minor signs of wear. See pictures for details.
