This is a charming antique bronze sculpture of a standing fisherman, expertly crafted with high-relief engraving and hand-painted polychrome details. The figure depicts an older man with a textured beard and hair, wearing a flowing reddish-brown robe tied at the waist, and loose blue-green trousers. He stands barefoot on a textured, rock-like base with a gold finish. In his right hand, he holds a woven creel or basket, while his left hand carries a large fish by the tail. The piece features extensive gold gilding on the face, chest, hands, feet, and base, which has aged beautifully with a warm patina. The reverse side shows the back of the robe and the tied sash detail, confirming its three-dimensional craftsmanship.
