This is a finely crafted antique bronze sculpture of Vajrasattva, a revered figure in Tibetan Buddhism. The statue depicts the deity seated in a meditative lotus position upon a double-layered lotus base. The figure is adorned with an elaborate, jeweled crown and intricate necklaces, holding a vajra (thunderbolt) in the right hand and a bell in the left. Behind the figure is a magnificent, pierced flame-shaped aureole (mandorla), featuring elaborate scrolling motifs and a small figure at the apex. The bronze exhibits a warm, reddish-brown patina with darker oxidation in the recesses, highlighting the high-relief repoussé and engraved detailing. The reverse side shows a smooth, unadorned back with a visible casting seam, confirming its traditional handcrafted origin.
