This is an exquisite antique gilt bronze sculpture of a Dragon Turtle, a mythical creature revered in traditional Asian culture as a symbol of longevity, power, and prosperity. The figure features a fierce dragon head with detailed horns, an open mouth, and flowing mane, attached to a turtle's body. The shell is intricately cast with geometric patterns and the body is adorned with scales and swirling motifs. Traces of original gold gilding remain visible across the surface, contrasting beautifully with the rich, aged verdigris patina. The statue is presented on a custom-fitted, polished dark wooden stand.
