A striking vintage Wescal table lamp featuring a richly patinated metal body paired with a dramatic faux tortoiseshell shade. The lamp showcases a classic baluster form with a warm antiqued bronze and verdigris finish that has developed beautiful age-related character over time.
The sculptural base rests on a stepped square plinth, lending the piece a traditional silhouette while the mottled finish and geometric shade introduce a refined Mid-Century Modern sensibility. When illuminated, the shade emits a warm amber glow that highlights the tortoiseshell-like marbling and creates an inviting ambiance.
Known for producing distinctive decorative lighting during the mid-20th century, Wescal lamps are appreciated for their quality construction and timeless styling. This example works equally well in Hollywood Regency, traditional, eclectic, Mediterranean, or modern interiors.
