A rare opportunity to acquire a curated set of six one-of-a-kind ceramic mugs by Tyler Hays for BDDW. Handmade and individually hand-painted in Philadelphia using clay mined from BDDW's own Frankford Clay Pit, each mug features a distinctive cobalt-blue illustration inspired by traditional folk art, with charming botanical and animal motifs.
With their beautifully irregular forms, rustic matte finishes, and whimsical artwork, these collectible mugs are as much functional works of art as everyday objects. Each mug bears BDDW’s impressed monogram and maker’s stamps on the underside.
BDDW sells each mug individually for $500, and they are perpetually sold out. The six mugs have a combined retail value of $3,000.
Exceptional holiday gifts for the design lovers in your life—or to yourself.

Each mug is individually handmade and features original irregularities, including uneven rims, subtle divots, variations in shape, surface texture, and glaze application. As photographed, some interiors have areas of sparse or streaky glaze, which are original. As pictured, the last mug shown has a fine, superficial hairline crack on the back that does not appear to extend through the ceramic to the opposite surface. Please examine all photographs for demonstrated irregularities. Dimensions listed are approximate. less
