An exquisite vintage Chinese porcelain fishbowl planter featuring elaborate Famille Rose-style decoration, richly accented with a warm gilt ground and colorful traditional Chinese motifs.
The rounded porcelain body is adorned with intricate floral compositions featuring peonies, flowering branches, stylized foliage, and delicate birds. Decorative medallions frame beautifully rendered botanical scenes, while vibrant shades of pink, turquoise, green, and red contrast elegantly against the gold-toned background.
A gracefully flared rim completes the substantial silhouette, adding architectural character to the piece. The interior features additional decorative detailing, further reflecting the artistry and attention to detail associated with traditional Chinese export porcelain.
The underside bears a red Chinese-style seal mark, complementing the vessel’s traditional decorative character.
Equally suited for display as a standalone decorative object or as an elegant cachepot, this generously proportioned planter makes a striking statement in a formal living room, entryway, conservatory, or Chinoiserie-inspired interior.
