A beautifully decorated Chinese famille rose porcelain fishbowl planter featuring an elaborate composition of traditional figural scenes, flowering branches, architectural elements, and ornamental borders. The generously proportioned vessel showcases a vibrant palette of soft pink, turquoise, celadon green, and warm earth tones, creating a striking example of traditional Chinese decorative artistry.
The exterior is adorned with finely detailed scenes of figures in traditional Chinese attire set against architectural backdrops, complemented by lush floral motifs, stylized foliage, and intricate geometric borders. A broad, gently flared rim features additional floral ornamentation, providing an elegant finishing detail.
The interior is equally captivating, featuring hand-painted goldfish swimming among aquatic plants and floating leaves, a charming decorative element traditionally associated with prosperity and good fortune in Chinese culture.
Its substantial rounded form and richly layered decoration make this an exceptional accent for traditional, Hollywood Regency, Chinoiserie, or eclectic interiors. Equally appealing as a decorative floor vessel or as a statement planter, this piece offers wonderful scale, color, and visual interest.
A traditional Chinese-style red seal mark is present on the underside.
