A striking vintage 1980s Cubist-inspired painting featuring a whimsical cast of characters from The Wizard of Oz. Rendered in a graphic palette of black, white, and gray with selective touches of red, the composition combines expressive faces, geometric shapes, checkerboard patterns, and fragmented forms for a bold, theatrical effect. The playful imagery and contemporary folk-art sensibility make this an eye-catching statement piece for an eclectic interior.
An excellent addition to a collected art wall, creative studio, library, or living space. Pairs beautifully with vintage furnishings, modernist accents, and the layered, sophisticated aesthetic of an eclectic European-inspired interior.
Illegibly signed lower right hand side.
